Georgia's uniqueness lies in its small size, encompassing everything from beautiful canyons and mineral springs to high mountains and deep caves, the sea, plains, and lakes. Georgia is rich in unique architectural monuments, listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and is steeped in history and traditions. My excursions and tours will help you discover and uncover Georgia.
1) Tbilisi Tour "The Colors of Tbilisi"
These are first impressions and emotions. You'll learn why our city is called "warm" and experience its unique charm. Stories and facts about patrons, merchants, and artisans.
We'll begin our tour in the city's historic center: the Metekhi Plateau. You'll learn the history of the city and its founder. Then, crossing the Metekhi Bridge, we'll approach the sulfur baths, where we'll learn about their history and architecture. Next, our guide will tell you about the enchanting Legvtakhevi ("Fig Ravine"). Archaeological excavations uncovered ancient layers of the city here, and a 20-meter waterfall cascades from a cliff ledge. We'll visit the ancient Anchiskhatia Church and the Sioni Cathedral. We'll also see the angel who appears every hour, accompanied by music, on the unique clock tower of the Rezo Gabriadze Puppet Theater.

During the Rtveli season (grape harvest, September-October), you'll have the opportunity to participate in the harvest and press grape juice in a special vessel called a satsnakheli.

6) Excursion to Kazbegi "Conquering the Mountains"
Our route will follow the Georgian Military Highway towards the Russian border.
Our first stop is the incredibly beautiful Zhinvali Reservoir, where you can take beautiful photos. Stunning views open up from almost anywhere along the route. The Ananuri Fortress is a large, well-preserved castle on the shore of the Zhinvali Reservoir. Our next stop is the confluence of two mountain rivers near the village of Pasanauri. What makes this place unique is that each of the two rivers has its own distinct color, and when they merge, their waters flow parallel to each other for a long time without mixing. Here (optional) you can sample the famous Passanaur khinkali and charcoal-grilled khachapuri. Further on, enjoy the fantastic views from the "Friendship of Peoples" observation deck at the Krestovy Pass. Return to Tbilisi.

We'll head to Borjomi, where you can try the famous Borjomi mineral water, from both its warm and cold springs. We'll stroll through the Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park. We'll take the cable car to an altitude of 1,000 meters, where we'll enjoy magnificent views and see the Church of St. Seraphim of Sarov (optional). We'll head to the Green Monastery, one of the oldest monasteries in Georgia. The complex was dedicated to St. George the Victorious, the patron saint of Georgia. A forest road leads to the monastery gates. To the right of the entrance are the monks' cells, and to the left is a stream with a bed strewn with reddish stones. Legend has it that the stones were colored by the blood of monks killed by the Ottomans in the 15th century. Lunch is served al fresco—grilled grapevine shashlik (optional). The next stop is the Akhaltsikhe Fortress (Rabat Fortress), which belonged to the Jakeli atabagh from the 13th to the 17th centuries and was his ancestral home. The fortress grounds are divided into a lower, modern section and an upper, historical section. The lower section houses shops, a café, a restaurant, and a hotel. The upper section includes the Akhmediye Mosque (18th century), an Orthodox church (19th century), the Jakeli ancestral castle, and a history museum. Walking deep into the park along a picturesque forest trail for about 2 kilometers, you can swim in the sulfur pools. Swimming is possible year-round; the spring water temperature is 38 degrees Celsius. There's a swimming pool. Jacuzzi, adult pool, and children's pool. Lunch in Borjomi (optional). Return to Tbilisi.

Next stop is the Sataplia Nature Reserve, which translates as "place where there is honey." Here you'll find real dinosaur footprints, some 165 million years old! There's also a beautiful cave, the highlight of which is a huge stone heart. This large stalagmite has taken this shape, and now hundreds of tourists place their hands in the natural hollows of the "heart" and make wishes. Another attraction of the reserve is a horseshoe-shaped observation deck with a glass floor, perched above a cliff. After exploring the reserve, you can stop for lunch (optional) and then head to the resort town of Tskaltubo, not far from which lies Prometheus Cave, 80 meters below sea level. The temperature in the cave is a constant 14 degrees Celsius year-round.
